We make these lovely vessels using oak from old whisky barrels and copper in our little Derybshire workshop. They can be used for many occasions:
At Christmas, put candles in the copper cylinders and light a candle on each of the four Sundays before Christmas day for Advent.
Or if you prefer, simply light all four candles to create a beautiful decorative feature for any celebration or cosy evening.
When our lovely copper vessel is not adorned with candles, rather than putting it in the loft with the rest of the Christmas decorations, arrange dried flowers, grasses or twigs in the cylinders for a delightful minimalist display.
The Forever Candleholder
The cylinders are designed to take 15mm diameter candles (not included). To insert a candle into the cylinder, gently push it in about 1cm, ensuring it is straight. A little wax may be dislodged from the bottom of the candle. If this occurs, simply wipe it away with a dry cloth.
Always ensure your candles are vertical and follow safety guidance regarding use and care for candles.
The Forever Dry Vase
Decorate your copper crown with stems of dried flowers, grasses and/or twigs. The cylinders are not waterproof, so please don't put water in the cylinders.
If your stems are a little short for the cylinders, pour some dry sand or tiny pebbles into the cylinders so you can 'plant' your stems at your preferred height.
Care of your Copper Forever Vessel
To care for your copper crown, simply give it a light dust from time to time. Do not wash or soak.
